About

Hello and welcome to my personal finance blog! I started this website to share my journey with you so hopefully you’ll be more financially independent, continue to build or start your career, and be inspired to make a positive impact in your community.

My journey started at UC Berkeley with a degree in Economics. Then I worked at a big four public accounting firm for three years and got my CPA. I went into Financial Planning and Analysis next and worked for two fortune 500 companies for 6 years. After a brief year off I found my way into Biotech and spent three years in Market Access and Marketing before making my way back to finance. I’ve worked for over 15 years primarily in Corporate finance. I am currently a Director of Finance in a great growing Biotech in the Bay Area.

Even after spending years studying and working in finance I noticed particularly for women there wasn’t enough discussion and knowledge sharing of how to invest and be financially independent. I’m hoping to help change that by sharing my experience and knowledge on this website. I strongly believe we should all invest in our future by saving and investing to ensure we are able to take care of ourselves and our families.

I am just like you and have all the same fears and worries about succeeding but believe it’s best to give life a try and to try your best in whatever you choose.

In addition to my finance career I’m a mother of two young boys and live in beautiful San Francisco with my husband.

The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.
